Marian Bush

Marian is pleased to continue her NYS career with the Office of Indigent Legal Services.  Since joining the Office, Marian has created an Annual Audit Plan and Procedures. She has been trained in the claim reimbursement process and has been reviewing claims as they are submitted for payment.

Marian is excited about this new position and is eager to get out to the counties to conduct reviews/and or audits in the future. She has conducted post reviews of several Distributions and is continually learning about each county’s processing trends.

Prior to joining ILS, Marian worked at the NYS Office of the State Comptroller for fourteen years, ten of which, specialized in auditing Worker’s Compensation claims and becoming a Subject Matter Expert in that area.  Immediately prior to joining OSC, Marian worked as a Customer Service Representative in a manufacturing plant based in Coxsackie, NY. She managed a $1 million-dollar min/max inventory account for Boeing Wichita, solicited bids, and was liaison between the New Business Unit Engineers and potential customers.

Marian graduated from Sage Evening College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration specialized in Marketing. Marian completed Sage Graduate School in 2003 with a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management.

Marian was born in the Midwest. She spent her formative years in Albany, and attended high school in Houston, TX.
