Petros Papanicolaou

Petros Papanicolaou joined ILS as Assistant Grants Manager in 2021. In this position, he assists in the activities related to the distribution of grants and funds through a variety of procurement methods, including RFPs, Distribution and Sole/Single Source procurements.

Prior to Mr. Papanicolaou’s employment with ILS, he worked on a contract basis as a Contract Manager for the NYS Department of Health, which has a grants portfolio of over $2 billion. His unit was responsible for managing the creation of the contracts; processing reimbursement of expenditures and performance, including voucher validation and quarterly reports reviews; and tracking and reporting on budget and work plans modifications. Mr. Papanicolaou has also worked in the financial industry, holding the NYS Health, Life & Accident License and Series 6 & 63 Licenses.

Mr. Papanicolaou was born in Greece and moved to Albany, NY in 1987, becoming a US Citizen in 2016. He obtained a BA in Economics and MA in Financial Economics from SUNY Albany. He has been married to his wife, Eileen, since 2009.
