Ketienne Telemaque
Ketienne Telemaque joins the ILS’s Criminal Defense Representation Team after spending five years on the front lines, assisting indigent defendants on felony matters with the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County. This included providing legal advice and representation from arraignment to disposition. Prior to that, Ketienne spent nearly a year and a half advocating on behalf of incarcerated indigent defendants to challenge disciplinary hearing determinations made by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), access necessary medical care, obtain reasonable accommodations, and gain admission into programs. Ketienne earned her Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Leadership from St. John’s University, focusing her studies on Restorative Justice. She then graduated cum laude from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law in 2016. She now serves as the Assistant Counsel of the CDRT for Region A which includes the Five Boroughs of New York City, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties.
